UK rental and cleaning company Spot Hire Services has taken delivery of a new 22 metre Dinolift 220XTC spider lift.
The company, which is based in Knowsley, Merseyside, attended the recent Vertikal Days exhibition at Haydock Park to confirm the deal, and check out the purpose built made Dino DT3500L trailer which will be used to transport it. The new machine was purchased through local dealer CPS.
The 220XTC features a heavy duty over-centre riser and three section boom, offering 11 metres of outreach, 5.5 metres up and over reach, a platform capacity of 215kg, 180 degrees of platform rotation and 360 degree continuous slew. Overall width is 1.18 metres for transport the unit weighs 3,060kg & specific trailer rated at 410kg. Once on site it extends the track width to 1.4 metres and can drive up a 43 percent slope and level on slopes of up to 16 degrees.
Phil Grice of Spot Hire said: “We needed the most versatile spider lift there is in order to carry out a wide variety of tasks, from Telecoms work to indoor shopping centre cleaning. After much testing and deliberation, we decided on the Dinolift product for two main reasons, one being that it has great off-road capabilities, and the other is that the machine & trailer weighed less than 3,500kg and can be towed behind a van, which makes transporting it much easier for us. Although we have not previously used CPS, their positive reputation for service and back-up in the UK is well known in the industry. This can only be a further benefit of buying Dino”.
Nick Childs of CPS added: “Spot Hire recognised the versatility of the Dino machine and also were very keen to have a product that would last a long time. Many of the truck mounted hire companies are starting to run tracked access due to the type of work they are being asked to do. Along with Spot Hire’s other 4×4 vehicles they now have a solution for most off road applications.”
