Central Platform Services Ltd is pleased to announce the purchase of a new premises to replace its existing head office and workshop facility in South Kirkby, West Yorkshire. The company completed on the purchase earlier this month and has already begun the process of moving into the new premises.
The company began its search for a new property almost five years ago. After some serious searching, directors John and Neil Burton decided to wait and invest in the South Kirkby Business Park that had just begun development. Situated a stone’s throw away from the company’s current location, but with improved access links, the new location was an ideal choice.
The new property features a 10,000 square foot industrial building with office space and is situated on 1 acre of land on the newly built South Kirkby Business Park. With 10 meters of internal headroom, the building will offer significant benefits to the company moving forwards.
After receiving the keys for new premises, company director John Burton had the following to say about the company’s decision to invest in the South Kirkby Business Park.
“With our existing premises being ideally situated to service the whole of Yorkshire, and, with excellent motorway links to the rest of the UK, it was a difficult decision to look for alternate locations. With the company outgrowing the current premises, it became clear that we needed more space. Fortunately, the newly developed South Kirkby Business Park came just at the right time.

We were spoilt for choice when it came to selecting a unit, with many good sized, brand-new developments available. We chose Unit 6, Data Drive as it appeared to have everything we were looking for, including more floor space, increased headroom and the professional image a new building would provide for the company.
