In 1994 Leguan was the first manufacturer to introduce a compact access platform equipped with outriggers to the market – a concept that today is commonly known as a self-propelled spider. Since the very beginning, Leguan has capitalised on the experience and expertise of their parent company Avant Tecno who are market leaders in the design and manufacture of compact loaders.
Leguan design and manufacture a range of self-propelled spider platforms, each available with a choice of tyres or tracks. What really separates their products from standard self-propelled boom lifts is the compact size, reduced weight and high gradeability they have to offer. This provides more versatile driving and lifting features especially on challenging terrains commonly found on construction sites and in woodlands and forestry settings. This explains why the Leguan is known as the ‘go anywhere’ cherrypicker. Today, Leguan access platforms are sold worldwide and have proven themselves in the heat of Australia and Africa to the cold temperatures of Lapland.
All Leguan access platform can be towed on a standard plant trailer or can be purchased with a specially designed light weight trailer. The Leguan trailer not only transports the machine but also allows you to operate the platform without dismounting it.
