Investment In New Lifting Equipment

Central Platform Services Ltd (cpslift.com) is pleased to announce the investment in several pieces of new lifting equipment for the company’s new head office and workshop facility in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. The investment includes two bespoke overhead electric cranes, new mobile column lifts and a fully electric forklift truck, all of which are now installed and ready for use by the company’s engineers.

Equipment Details

Below is a breakdown of the new equipment included in the company’s investment.

Overhead Electric Cranes

The company’s new 3 phase overhead electric cranes have a lift height of 6 metres and a generous lifting capacity of 20 tonnes. These will make light engineering work of slew ring replacements, boom rope replacements and many other major repairs on access equipment, whatever the size and manufacturer.

The company has purchased two of these bespoke overhead gantries. The equipment was designed, installed, and tested by Cobal Cranes LTD.

Mobile Column Lifts

Four new column lifts have been purchased from TotalKareLTD. With an overall lifting capacity of 30 tonnes, the new equipment provides safe and comfortable access to the underbelly of equipment when carrying out servicing and safety inspections on truck mounted access platforms like the Bronto Skylift S38XDT (pictured below).

The company chose the T8DC cable-free mobile column lifts for their mobility and versatility around the workshop. Each column can lift 7,500kg and means no more laying down boards or ramps.

Electric Forklift Truck

The company’s new 2.5 tonne electric HC counterbalance forklift truck will reduce the amount of work that its current 6 tonne Hyster has performed over the last 10 years. This particular forklift is small, compact and quiet and has zero emissions.

Supplied by Yorkshire Handling LTD, the forklift will safely position large stock items onto bespoke racking systems from BIGDUG, freeing up valuable workshop floor space for the cherry picker repairs and other services that the company provides.
