Central Platform Services Ltd (cpslift.com) is pleased to announce the opening of a brand new paint shop facility at its head office and engineering workshop in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. This new facility allows the company to introduce a respray and refurbishment service covering a wide range of access equipment.
The company’s new spray booth is purpose-built and incorporates the latest design in dust and fume extraction whilst benefiting from super-bright LED backlighting to help achieve the best possible finish. With internal measurements of 14 metres x 6 metres x 6 metres, the paint booth is large enough to accommodate everything from large truck mounted platforms to smaller cherry pickers and scissor lifts large or small.

“Nowadays it’s simply not enough to only provide reliable equipment. MEWP’s and other plant hire equipment is often judged on the first appearance when arriving on site. Where a machine looks tatty, this can bring into question its performance and safety, not to mention the overall reputation of the company supplying or operating the equipment.
This is where our new paint shop facility can add real value to our customers. We are now able to offer a full respray or part refurbishment service to help improve the image of ageing equipment, and can promise a high-quality finish to all our customers with respectable lead times and competitive pricing.

The company is now in the process of contacting existing customers to explain its new service offering and will be pursuing a marketing campaign to help attract new business in the near future.
Services and equipment for this project were part-funded by the Product and Process Innovation (PAPI) project with help from the European Regional Development Fund and the University of York.
