Central Platform Services Ltd (CPSLift) is looking for a skilled Paint Technician to join our organisation and work in our purpose built paint-shop facility at our head office and engineering facility near Pontefract, West Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prepare and paint various types of equipment (mainly plant machinery), ranging from the smallest of components to complete machinery and vehicle repaints within a required timescale with a good quality finish first time.
The Role
- Position – Paint Sprayer & Preparation
- Contract – Full Time, Permanent
- Location – Workshop based (Pontefract, West Yorkshire)
- Hours – 5 days per week, Mon to Fri, 8am to 5:30pm (must be flexible to work overtime and extended hours as and when required to meet business needs)
- Salary – £27k to £35k per annum
- Annual Holiday entitlement – 30 days including bank holidays
Skills Required
- At least two years’ experience with painting vehicle or plant equipment
- Excellent attention to detail with a right-first-time attitude
- Must be able to work independently
- Good communicator, both verbally and written
- Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision
- Preparing paint spraying equipment
- Preparation of bodywork prior to painting
- Mixing paints to the right colour and consistency
- Applying several coats where required including primers, colours and protective finishes
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment, paintshop and other areas associated with the activity
- Storing of paints and other materials in the correct location and conditions
- Managing inventory of paints, equipment and associated consumables
- Ability to follow safety processes and procedures
