If you have a flair for co-ordination and possess excellent interpersonal skills, this could be the perfect role for you.

Position: Hire Desk Controller / Engineer Coordinator
Location: South Kirkby, Pontefract
Hours: 8 am – 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum

As a Hire Desk Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless co-ordination of hires and maintaining positive client relationships whilst developing new opportunities to further grow of our client base to expand our fleet and increase our market share in platform, cherry picker hire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding promptly and efficiently to hire enquiries.
  • Smooth management of our entire hire process from initiation to completion.
  • Directly communicating with clients via telephone and email.
  • Proactively generating hires from new contacts.
  • Co-ordinating engineers for repairs and safety inspections on both ours and our clients’ equipment.

Key Skills:

  • Strong time-management abilities with task prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a ‘right first time’ attitude.
  • Ability to work independently with confidence.
  • Proficient with technology, including Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Xero accounting software – preferred but not essential.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous administrative co-ordination experience
  • Full training and support will be provided.
